Spring Ephemerals & Turtles at Ferguson Forest Hike
Distance: 9-10 kms Duration: 3-3.5 hrs Pace: "observing pace" Ascent: mostly flat
Mostly but not all flat walk along Kemptville Creek and through Ferguson Forest near Kemptville.
Lots of balancing on branches to cross puddles, mud-holes and boggy spots, so hiking poles and waterproof hiking boots are a must. Picnic option after the hike at the pavilion (privy nearby).
Bring water, a picnic lunch and insect repellent.
Meet up at the Supreme Court (south west parking lot) at 8:45 for a 9:00 departure.
