Parc des Chutes de Denholm Hike

Art at Denholm Falls

Distance:  ~5 kms     Hike duration:  ~2.5 hrs     Pace:  Slow    Ascent:  230 m

This hidden gem in the highly scenic region of Val-des-Monts, Quebec, features a small network of hilly trails punctuated with local art installations in a mature deciduous forest. More of an excursion than a full-day’s hike, getting there is half the fun with a lovely drive up the Gatineau Valley and a dramatic crossing at the Paugan Dam.

The hike itself will be on marked trails rated Moderate, the Easy part being the walk's relatively short length of 2 to 2 ½ hours. Spring leaves will be budding and the waterfall in full flow.

Stopping at the venerable Brennan’s Hill Restaurant is an option afterwards.

We will meet at the Supreme Court at 9:00 a.m. to arrange carpooling (leaving shortly after) and drive to the Visitor Centre in Old Chelsea to meet Peter. If you want to meet at the Visitor Centre at 9:30, please let Holly know. Please bring exact change, lunch, water and a bag for muddy boots.
